Tennet Offshore Cable System Repair

Project description:

Jan de Nul has a Service Level Agreement for the preparation and performance of offshore services as part of repair work on all TenneT’s Offshore GmbH submarine cable system (cables laid in a WD of 10m up to 50m, including repairs in the vicinity of platforms/substations and/or crossing locations).

OI’s scope of work:

The development of cable repair procedures and repair concepts, supported by associated risk assessments, as part of Tennet’s emergency plan for the fastest possible restoration of unimpeded cable connections of their submarine cable system.

Examples of documentation developed during the project:

• HVAC/HVDC cable inline / omega repair jointing Risk Assessment Method Statement.
• Normal cable lay, Abandonment & Recovery, ROV, Survey procedures.
