Project description:
Ørsted Wind Power North America LLC is developing the US wind farm projects South Fork Wind (SFW01) and Revolution Wind (REV01). Together with Sunrise Wind (SRW01), these projects are referred to as the Northeast Program (NEP). The wind farms are located ~30km southeast of Block Island.
The capacity of the REV01 wind farm will be around 715MW and consists of 65 turbines and 2 offshore substations. The water depths in the field location range from 31 to 47m below the Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW).
OI’s scope of work:
The appointed Project Engineer was responsible for developing the monopile offshore installation manual (clash checks, clearance assessment, upending hinge settings, develop tables with monopile installation parameters, etc.) and coordinate the development of all associated drawings. Further, the PE prepared all Rigging Design reports. Various other documentation were developed (e.g. wedge flange installation manual, piling shutdown flowchart). Finally, the PE worked offshore during the REV01 project execution o/b the HLV Bokalift 2.
