Ensure that jackets were loaded to the cargo barges as per client requirements.
OI’s scope of work:
OI had a representative on-site, at Nigg yard, Scotland. His responsibility was to ensure that the load-out of the jackets onto the cargo barges went as planned and according to procedure. This included, but not limited to:
- Ensuring correct positioning of the jackets in the grillage and proper welding procedures;
- Necessary equipment was onboard for the off-shore crew to install the jacket;
- The ballasting of the cargo barge was done properly to ensued that the barge was levelled;
- All necessary documentation was in place before sail away.
