Lapa 6’’ Gas Injection TCP In-Place Analysis

Strohm

Project description:

Lapa NE is a pre-salt field located in Santos Basin. FPSO in this area is designed to produce, store and offload oil, inject gas and water and import gas. The injection of water and gas into the well is through a WAG (water alternating gas) injection system. Due to SCC CO2 issues, TotalEnergies expect to replace the two existing gas injection flexible lines with TCPs for LAPA NE field.

OI’s scope of work:

  • In-place (static) behaviour
    • On-bottom stability calculations (as per DNV-RP-F109/F114).
    • TCP modelling and current sensitivity of laid TCP flowlines to confirm stability.
    • Comparative analysis to confirm that the loads on the TCP , bend restrictor and the VCM flange are within the acceptance limits.
  • Tie-in connection analysis
    • Static sensitivity analysis on as-laid tensions versus touchdown point at VCM flanges.
  • Input for fatigue analysis
    • Dynamic analysis for critical areas prone to motion due to current loading, such as the VCM connection area (i.e. free catenary and touchdown point). The goal is to determine the tension and bending moment ranges.
