Project description:
The Gemini wind park has various “exposed cables” which need to be reburied. This will be done using a mass flow excavator (MFE), which will blow a trench in the seabed.
OI’s scope of work:
The engineering study addressed the operational parameter / method for the burial tool with the following aims:
1.Keep the cable safe and protected during the reburial process
2.Estimated trench profile and efficiency of burial depth based on available data
3.Recommended MFE control criteria for the Rotech burial tool in terms of power setting, vessel transit speed along the cable and stand off distance above the cable.
