Project description:
VBMS planned to use a modified cable basket for one of their upcoming cable lay projects. The cable basked was modified by adding a removable roof section and by closing of the inner and outer sides of the cable basket with steel plates. Additionally the bottom supports were strengthened. The modified cable basket required a structural design verification.
OI’s scope of work:
- Design and verification of a cable basket using ANSYS.
- Design a lift spreader frame.
