Pathway Extension Loads Analysis (2024)

Strohm

Project description:

A new Thermoplastic Composite Pipe (TCP) pathway is being considered as part of the expansion plan of the manufacturing facilities at Strohm. Two potential configurations are to be modelled.

OI’s scope of work:

The scope of this project is to estimate the torque values obtained for a given TCP along its arc length as it runs through both guidance system configurations.  To this end, hysteresis of the material needs to be considered throughout a cascade of dynamic restart simulations in OrcaFlex.

Furthermore, maximum loads between the TCP and the support structures will be evaluated.
