Project description:
SPT was engaged by Yinson Production for the concept and detailed design of suction anchor piles for an FPSO mooring off the coast of Ghana.
The design of the suction anchor piles had to ensure sufficient holding capacity for in-place, installation, removal and lifting conditions.
OI’s scope of work
SPT requested OI to support them with the engineering work for the general structural design of the suction anchor pile which consisted of:
- Shell design
- Top plate, girder and stiffener design
- Lifting and deployment requirements
- Corrosion protection (Painting & Cathodic)
